The Round Rock Sunrise Rotary Club is taking on a special project this fall, and we’d love for you to be part of it! Starting in November 2025, our members will gather at Central Texas Table of Grace (1205 Sam Bass Road, Round Rock, TX) to build a brand-new rabbit enclosure for therapy rabbits that will serve foster children in our community.
This project, supported by a District Assistance Program (DAP) Grant, will be completed by April 30, 2026. But the most exciting part begins in November when construction kicks off—and we invite friends, neighbors, and community members to come lend a hand!
The rabbit pen is more than a shelter. It will become a safe, nurturing place where foster children can connect with therapy rabbits as part of animal-assisted therapy. These gentle animals can help children build trust, reduce stress, and heal from trauma. For kids who have faced difficult challenges, time spent caring for rabbits will bring comfort, responsibility, and joy.
Our Rotarians will lead the effort, from gathering supplies—wood, nails, chicken wire, and tools—to building the enclosure and preparing a home for the rabbits. But we can’t do it alone. This is a community project, and your help will make it even more meaningful.
