From 5-7pm, we will do a service project with Table of Grace sorting through some of their inventory for their planned store.
At 7:00pm we will have a zoom board meeting with our new district governor, Bob Crouch.
Monday, July 31st - 6:00pm - joint meeting with Austin University Area Rotary at Shoal Creek Saloon, 909 N Lamar, Austin.
Updates from Incoming President Sarah Carriker
Starting in August:
We will continue with our Zoom board meetings on the first Mondays at 7:00pm.
On the second Mondays at 7:00pm, I would like to propose that we conduct recurring, in-person service projects at Table of Grace instead of a sit-down meeting.
Reasons:
Offering a consistent, recurring opportunity for service could be appealing to current and future members.
We are down to 7 members - all of whom are on the board - showing up for regular meetings and there is no sense in having the same meeting twice (board/full).
We can measure our participation levels and come up with some indicators of the viability of the club.
Welcome to the New Rotary Year!
RI President-elect R. Gordon R. McInally calls for Rotary to create hope in the world by working for peace and mental wellbeing. He urges members to engage in tough conversations and earn the trust that’s necessary to realize these values.
