Our club participated in two fundraiser/service events in April: Rise Against Hunger and the Empowering Girls project. Along with other Rotary clubs in District 5870, we helped raise $2100 for the Empowering Girls project. The district prepared nineteen kits to be distributed in Honduras. Each kit lasts a girl for three years, giving them back about 60 days for school, work, and living! At the Rise Against Hunger event, we helped pack 25,000 food bags to be distributed to alleviate hunger around the world!
